Waterloo 2015: Parade

Just got back home from a week in Brussels. Quite an exhausting trip, but it was definately worth it!

To kick things off here are some shots from the parade (and a couple of other uniform shots) that preceded the first battle day on Friday. The uniforms on display weren't just limited to ones seen in the battle, as there were reenactors wearing Austrian uniforms as well as some Swedish-Finnish units from our 1808 war with Russia. Plenty of camp followers as well with ages ranging from just a few months to way past their retirement age :)

So behold a small load of images that I managed to edit on the flight back. Next up around 700 photos I have of the actual reenactments and on top of that some 300 from various museums... But now it's time for a much needed rest and I'll continue going through the photos tomorrow.

    1. Thanks! Yes there was actually quite a large detachment of them. Wonderful stuff, too bad it's a bit out of place :) Still didn't stick out too badly and provided more bodies to the battlefield
